1st tournament in the new 921 bird today, LIVE WELL

Fish Kerr lake today that's in N.C. for you guys, but what I want to speak about was the live well
caught 3 fish by 8am, and had all 3 in the live well, water temp was 58 so I didn't check on fish like I should, thought water temp at 58, no worry, well after moving to a few spots check live well, and my biggest fish is starting to turn belly up, I never turn on the recirculate or max air, during this time span of about 1.5hrs, turn the recir and max air on pump out some water and added fresh and 1 fish got right at the discharge and in minutes all fish where find, at 3 pm weigh in all 3 where wide open when time come for the weigh bag, My fault but great recovery thinks to PHOENIX.

Chris- I find the Phoenix live wells to be unmatched. You wouldn't believe the JUNE/JULY tx down here where most everyone is turning in dead fish. We turn in VERY few dead fish, and if so, it has to do with a gut hook vs live well.

I always ran the livewell pumps while fishing, and while running turned the pumps off and ran the recirculators. Never lost a fish even in hot weather.

Thanks Hank, Sunday was my 4th time in water strictly fishing, the other 3x's was just boat riding break in time, no fishing. How you do fishing, our club did well 49 fish weigh in at 91lbs, and all had some get off, my partner lost a 5lb at 2pm, all mine in boat by 8am on senko. I've only been to Kerr 3xs, I have a tough time figuring these lakes out, club next tx at Gaston in May.

    Chris,
Our club weighed in alot of limits, but most fish were in the 2 1/2 lb range. For me I had 2 in the boat within the first 30 minutes, and it was hit and miss the rest of the day. I am looking at upgrading boats in the future and had looked hard at Phoenix. I had the opportunity to ride in one, and all I can say is I was impressed!!!

    Hank,
I have a 96 Hydra Sport 205 series, that I've own since 2001, and still have it, I was looking at all brands new and used, I was looking at the 721 Bird, but waited to late at the local dealer it sold on me, they had this 921, but a fellow in NY was suppose have bought it, so I was looking at other brands, I wanted to move up in a new boat of some type, almost went to Wooten they have a used 2011 Skeeter with a 250 sho, but price on it wasn't much different to be a used boat. I wanted a 250hp, didn't matter which brand Merc or Yam, so when wife had bought into getting a new boat I checked the internet and this 921 was still at the local dealer so I call and they said yep its here The guy in NY had backed out, and this dealer is 30 mins from the house on the way to work, all the other dealers are 1.5 2.0hrs from home been a pain in the butt to get there and back for any service work, so I went local. Greenville marine has a used Triton 21' I think boat is a 2009 with a 2011 motor. The 721 and the 921 was at Greenville Marine for a yr and sold both of them in a month.

    Chris,
I saw them both at Greenville. I currently run a 99 Javelin Renegade 18 that I bought new. The boat has been a great boat, runs good and garage kept. The only issue with mine is size, it is just too small for me. I know the day will finally get here when I can pull the trigger on a new one, and I have looked at my options. I had an opportunity to tour the Phoenix Plant last year and that was awesome. I learned alot about boats and boat building that I would have never thought of. Phoenix is rapidly growing for a good reason!!
I can go to other brands of boats and pick things out that I never knew before.
