Seahorse,
On a different thread you talk about puncturing the membrane on the underside of the oil tank cap.I have read this before where this helps the initial smoke problem after starting.I get a fair amount of smoke after starting my engines ,1997 johnson 150 oceanrunners. The smoke goes away after the engine is warmed up and very little underway but if I could fix that initial smokeout it would be good.Is there any downside to this quick fix?Is it caused by simply a biuld-up of press. in the oil resevoir? Thanks in advance.....
