Ok. Here's the deal. I can open my battery box and hear the water dripping from somewhere (a hose to something I assume?) going straight into the bilge area, in turn, its filling up and the bilge pumps are turning on about every 20 minutes to pump the water out. How can I track this problem down and get it taken care of? I obviously can't see where it's coming from when on the water. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank in advance, and I'm hoping this isn't a huge deal.
Take your back compartment trays out to view around your live well hoses and find your leak.

Check the seal from the bottom side of the rub rail and see if it's seperating.
Do you have a thru hull live well pump attached at the transom? If it's a Rule brand they are famous for leaking because of the build design. If it leaking replace it with a Attwood Tsumani.
In the drive way use a hose and put water in one live well and see if you get water leaking into the bilge. If not try the other live well.
Just trials and time.

So, does everybody agree, that this issue is most likely a live well hose leak? If so, when I find the leak in my live well (hopefully I can this afternoon if it doesn't go from 70 to snowing, since its been doing that in central KY lately) What does fixing the issue consist of? Surely I can do it myself.... Thank you all for the help by the way!
That's exactly what it is. Rule brand pump an the black hoisin that's in-line is what's leaking.

Had the same problem on my '02 21xl. Fixed it last spring only to find by late summer it was leaking again. Looks like I'll be digging into the bildge area again this spring. If spring ever gets here.
yeah those pumps are not designed well for the beating we put to them. Attwood Tsunami is much better imo

the black housing in my picture is actually what is leaking. Is that included when you buy that pump or is that actually a separate part. (if you look really clos towards the bottom right of that plastic housing, you can see the water coming out.
Its either cracked or you need a new O ring. Looks like you may have some work getting to it to figure that out.

Had a major problem of my Stratos taking on vast amounts of water since I purchased boat. I also thought it was pumps and hoses which I had replaced and did not help. Eventually had a friend laying on the back deck with a light and optic camera while I negotiated the lake determine that water was gushing in from the transom area in the back under the jack plate. The rub rail in that area had open gaps near the transom. The majority of water rushed in at slow speeds and in reverse. This appears to be a manufacture deficiency of not properly sealing the area around the transom/jack plate area. Had the motor lifted and jack plate removed to reseal area. This has made a significant impact on reducing water intake.

the black valve should have a couple small Phillips screws on the side. I also had a leak there this spring and a couple turns on an L shaped Phillips fixed it. Hope that works for you.Originally Posted by Toney3238

It's hard to tell by the picture but the black housing looks like a flow rite selector. If it leaking around the hose remove it, inspect, clean and tighten the connection. If the leak is in the housing it is time to buy a new live well selector assembly.
Yep. That's the shutoff valve leaking, not the pump.
