Jason what makes the 08 and 09 a tad faster ? are they making them light again ?
Slight weight difference and new molds. The newer boats will never be as light as the flat top cap boats due to the extra weight of the rounded cap.
So the slight weight difference would mean lighter in the bow or stern.So the 08 and 09 202's are lighter than the 00 thru 06 or 07's ??.

No, the 08'-09' are slightly lighter than the 03'-07' rounded top cap models and the weight reduction is spread throughout the boat. All of the flat top cap 202's of 02' and older are lighter due to the added weight of the rounded top cap and others that were not built with composites.
Ok i think i understand. Heavier than the flat tops and lighter than the 03 thru 07's.Thats what you mean by slight weight difference.Must be between 100 to 300 lbs. give of take either way right ?

I could be wrong?

That's correct, but the new rounded top cap boats weigh more than that.
1250 has been the advertised weight for a long time. Keith said at the end of 07 he was going to get the weight back down on the boats to where they are supposed to be.
so does anybody here or at blazer know how much they weigh now?
Jason my 04 202 is closer to 1500 lbs.This boat rides very well but not fast like i thought it would be. I have owned 3.

john that sounds a little heavy to me. the 1250 pounds that they have on the web page the boat without a motor , jack plate, trolling motor,batterys,battery box and with dry fuel tanks. I am not 100% sure about the the battery box.I have allways thought that they were heavyer than the 1250 pounds that they say the weigh,simply because they are about five mph slower than a bullet,which has the same hull.

Bentrod202 the weights on the web page do not apply to the newer ones with the round top caps they are more.Jason stated that the 08 and 09 202's are a tad lighter so that must mean that blazer is paying more attention to the actual weights so they can get back to whats posted on the web site.
