    Blazer Seats

Does anyone know if the new blazer seats would fit into the old style blazers (flat top) like mine. I'm having some seat problems.

Do you have the old style wrap around bucket seats? I think you can get the same seats from Bass Pro Shop for about $180 each. You might want to check on getting them recovered. I thought I read somewhere that blazer does not sell replacement seats?????

Colreb call Blazer. But I think the new seats will go right in place as long as you change all three.

    Re: Blazer Seats (BEEZER)

I think i heard the only way to get the new style Blazer seats was with $35,000 worth of fiberglass wrapped around them. I guess their thinking is if you want new seats it is time to upgrade boats. Seems like a good enough excuse to buy a new boat to me, so what color boat you getting?

Nathan, Blazer can still get the seats like you have if they are the ones that I am thinking of, or just buy my rig, my seats look like new.

The new style seats cannot be purchased for pre-08' boats.

    Re: Blazer Seats (Rebel1)

That sound like a good reason not to buy another BLAZER! If I want new seats they should sell me new seats. What if I'm wanting to make it look good to sell. Besides I have a 10 yr old boat because I cant afford a new one and fish TOO!

That's BS and I'll tell any of them that!!!!!!!!

    Re: Blazer Seats (BEEZER)

The only thing that makes the seats in my 07 "Blazer Seats" is the Logo sticker that want stay glued on. The seats are made warratied by another company. Even the fishing seats, they have the blazer logo painted on them. I will post the manufacture info tomorrow.

Yeah, they are the old wrap around bucket style with the flat cushion on the bottom. And thats the part I am having trouble with. The bottom was only velcroed to the frame of the seat and it got wet the other day going down the highway and the glue holding the velcro on came loose. Any suggestions?

    Re: Blazer Seats (Rebel1)

MOtor ratings and seats aren't quite the same. I called Blazer 6 months ago to get new seats. I didn't want the new style, I like my old wrap arounds. They told me they could not get me the that style anymore but would be glad to sell me the new ones. Now this was just before the new 08 seats were out. They have to offer us something, good greef, things do happen.

    Re: Blazer Seats (colreb2000)

Get some new velcro from walmart or where ever you choose. Use a staple gun with 1/4" staples to secure it to the base and bottom of the seat cushion. I had to do the same thing with my 1990 blazer.

Hey where do you do most of your fishing?....being from Lucedale that is. If you are interested in getting in a club let me know. We need to pick a few good(Blazer Owners) members.

    Re: Blazer Seats (blublazer)

I agree with Blublazer....my velcro was worn out on my 99 202 so I bought some new Velcro at Wal-Mart and use a staple gun to attach it to the seats and the base. worked like a charm. no more fly-away seats.

THat worked good on mine too for a couple of yrs until the wood on the bottom of the seat rots the staples come out and there goes my seat on the side ofthe highway somewhere.

    Re: Blazer Seats (BEEZER)

Well since the seats are in good condition physically, I think I am going to go with the staples and velcro. Thanks guys.

    Re: Blazer Seats (colreb2000)

Colreb I just finished my seats last night. All the wood was rotten on the bottoms. So I took all the staples and wood out. Replaced it with plastic corrigated board like a forsale sign. Stapled it all back together. Looks like before but lighter.

I didn't put the velcro back on. I screwed it down to the plastic frame. One in the very back two on the front down by the floor where the cusion hangs over the frame. Works perfect and will never rot or fly out at 85.

It took me about an hour to do the whole job.
