    crazy water pressure gauge

Posted this on the Yamaha site as well. My water pressure gauge started acting crazy yesterday. It is flickering/bouncing back and forth from 20psi-30psi when running. At idle it shows 0 like normal and I do have normal water flow at idle and running, so water pressure is not the problem. It is either my gauge has gone bad, or I have something caught somewhere. There was a lot of debrise in the water from heavy rain, so I am thinking something got sucked up somewhere, as the gauge worked my first couple of runs. Some say it may be the Poppit Valve, but seems like most of the guys that had to replace the poppit had poor water pressure, and that is not my problem. I have a 300hpdi...Thanks!!

poppit valve will cause the pressure to go way up.

Re: crazy water pressure gauge (GE Blazer)

Damn, didn't want to pull that thing off tonight. I want to go fishing tomorrow, but I bet I have a handful of springs and screws that I have no idea where they go once I take them off. It takes me an hour to change a prop
