deffinently hard to cut a hole in the boat but, the end result was well worth it.

Looks good, Blazerman! Give us a report after you fish it. Been debating on one myself but I'm not sure I would like it better. I am interested in your thoughts on before / after.

Re: Finally installed the pro-tray (Bass Junkie)

zeek, fished out of my buddy's basscat and it was so much better with the tm recessed especially in rough water. Had much better balance and it seemed easier on the body....

I love mine. It is a world of difference to me. If you have back problems or fish without a butt seat, the balance is great.

Love the recessed pedal pan in my Champ! So much more secure and easier on balance and on my back.

Zeek...if you get one, don't mount it too far forward if you ever use the butt seat. When you have pedal recessed, it needs to be closer to the pedestal than when it's on top of deck...

Thanks Blazerman! Your Pro-Tray looks great! I've got to brush the snow off the boat cover and get it in the garage What did you cut your deck with?
    Thanks!!

I used a jig saw with a Pirahana blade. I would show mine, but don't know how to post the pics.

Re: Finally installed the pro-tray (blazerman)

If you use the butt seat and the recess is too far away, you will still have back pain.

    Looks good blazerman.

jig saw worked for me. make sure you cut the carpet with an utility knife first to keep the carpet form tearing.. the balance is so much better I don't use the butt seat anymore, plus I have more room without it in the way.

Looks good. recessed pans may be a thing of the past with the new wireless motorguide TM. The footpad is flat. I like it.
