Looking at a new boat and considering a ZX200 or a ZX20. Looking at the Yamaha performance bulletins it looks like the 250 is slightly better on economy than the 200? Seems like it would be the other way around. Any feedback?

The difference in the two will be so miniscule you'll probably never notice.
Yeah I was surprised thought the 200 would be significantly more efficient but it appears thats not the case. I guess its another reason to motor up!!
The price you pay for the higher octane fuel will be the difference. You have to use the higher octane gas in both the 225 and 250, where as I use the 89 octane in my 200. It runs great with no issues.

2012 Skeeter ZX200 with Yamaha 200 SHO
89 octane in a 250 SHO. There will be a differance but I bet it wont be big. Go check out Yamaha performace bullitens on the Yamaha web site.
