    Steering?

My steering is really hard. What would happen if I adjusted this bolt to one of the other holes?

For saftey sake, replace the cables before one breaks. One or both are rusting and causing your problems.

You would not get a full turn if you move the bolt. Chances are you steering is tight due to a bad cable. Unhook the linkarm from the cables and turn the enigne by hand. If its easy the problem is with the cables. You may get away with removing the cables from the tubs and cleaning and greasing them.

WOW! replacing those cables seems like a job and a half. Where would you all recommend that I buy them from and how hard are they to replace?

You can go online and find replacement cables. Teleflex is one of the name brands that sell replacement cables. It's not that ahrd of a job. As with the the folks input, you need to replace them before one breaks on you.

A little trick I learned when installing network cabling etc. Use the old cables as a pull to put the new ones in. Disconnect from motor and tape the new ones to the old and have someone feed them while you pull them to the console. Then you won't have to fish them through.

why dont you remove that bolt and see if you're steering is equally as hard. I have seen guys here fight with tight steering thinking it was cables only to find it was something different. Remove the bolt, try steering by the wheel, then try turning motor back and forth, motor should turn freely with no cables hooked to it.
