Hatch support cylinder
I need new hatch lid assist cylinders for my 94 295TF. The ones I have are the originals that I can't find. I assume the manufacturer of them is long gone and no one can seem to cross reference them. I contacted charger and they said they would get back to me but they never did. I know I can get close with the arm lengths, but I don't know how strong they need to be. They are so pricy that I hate to just blindly order replacements that MIGHT work.

They are hard to find. I talked to Jim Hughes and the one I needed to replace they no longer make. Guy at O'Reilly's said to check out these guys that make tool boxes and truck bodies. Haven't had time to do so yet. I agree, they are too expensive to hope they work.

Call Jim Hughes he has the new ones and can give you a number to order the older style.

Jim said they don't make the little short one for the tackle storage area in front of the driver's console. Mine was a Springlift brand part #SL 1-20. I found almost the same thing at O'Reilly's but it was an inch too long.

Just found them on Rock Auto for $10.00 + $6.00 freight

hey guys sorry no one got back with you, they still make your shocks go on line to attwood marine catalog. they will have your shocks (blade type) listed. and if you need to change brackets to update to a new shock that would be the pem style bracket, if the shock is missing give me a call i can tell you the size you need. 1-573-765-3265 thanks, have a good one.
