here goes folks.got the manual out and it says low oil alarm will beep every 40 seconds.this beep is at about 1 second intervals.shut down the engine and restart it will run for about 5 min. and come on again.run the boat wide open it doesn't do it.any ideas?1992 150 j150glencthanks ,roy
before you start it up in the morning,pump the oil bulb up,it may seem firm,but pump it up, see if that cures the problem. My motor does the same thing,if I pump the oil bulb up, it nevers goes off again.....

installed complete new oil tank and all hoses and clamps to vro.alarm still goes off after 4-5 min.squeez the oil bulb and it goes off.vro was new when i bought the boat about a year ago.only does it at idle.anyone have another idea?thanks,roy
sounds like mine...Ive had 2 VRO go out and both start off like that. I thought it was low engine vaccum or crank case check valve but does it for several trips then sets you in the water when the fuel pump stops working . You can pump the gas ball till gets you make to landing if fuel pump stops all together. Just be sure to have a buddy fishing with you till it goes out. LOL
