    Upgrade on a Budget!!

    Wife got me the Lowrance Elite 7xHDI for Christmas, and I was able to install it myself for under $15!

    Looks clean......by chance did you install any type of brace/support bar under the panel that the bracket mounted to ?

    I used 2 metal plates, one on each side of the shroud. The bolts for the front plate and fish finder bracket go all the way through. Maybe this will help.
