It has been a long and careful search, but after many different brand's I was not going to settle with anything less this time around.
My wife still wanted me to get the 2+2 but I put my foot down and told her how it was going to be....
Last night sure was cold sleeping in the garage.......

Manny, I'm glad I'm not the only one . . . it goes the other way with the wives too. . I about got my posterior beat by my wife when I sold my prior 2+2 to Denver.

Colors depend on Darris' mood and what colors your asking for. He certainly wont do any flake as he believes this causes fading and cracking. He's also hard to convince to make a boat with a dark main color...thats why most that you see have a lot of white in them. On the bright side, these boats still good after many many years of use!

Steven, Darris will make the colors and pins like you want. The pins are tape which adds more flexibility in the colors and getting it like you want. The pins on my boat are narrow (less than 1/4") and there's no way a guy to tape that off in the mold and make it look good. You can pick colors but Rob is right, no flake, no dark colors, etc. It might be worth a call to the plant if you have questions. I've never seen gel coat done as well as on an Allison. I've not seen anyone do such sharp and defined lines where two gel colors meet.
