I have seen that one online...it looks like mine but mine is the 2+2...love the colors! Congrats![]()
How's the weather in Orange Texas? If you could be using it, waiting sucks. If it's freezin' azz cold, it sucks just going out and looking at it. 3 weeks is nothing, hang on.

Yeah.... 19 is pretty cold...... At least in TX though, i bet it warms up to 45 on the days it's 19 in the mornin....... Up here, if we get to the 30's sometimes while fishin is a blessing..... You know it's bad when your guides freeze up....... and you have to stick the pole in the water to melt them for a little while lol.......

if i had my boat I'd take it out, cold or not!![]()
You really made a smart decision on that galv trailer. These painted Boatmate's are, in my opinion, the weak link of Allison ownership.

Agree. I think Darris knows that. I've had two issues with my 2010 Boat mate trailer. It's not getting better.
Meyers had a custom trailer made. . . smart move!!

I seriously considered, in fact placed the order, for a painted galvanized trailer. I just could not get over the fact that I was going to put a tube trailer into brackish water...so I opted for the a more practical option or channel steel because it would last longer no matter what happened.
The only issue with the trailer was that I had to haul it to TN empty...![]()
Congrats on the new Allison!![]()

Sounds like another honey![]()
I got to see first hand one of the galvanzed trailers in red. I couldnt even tell it was galvanized, it looked very good! So hopefully I will be avoiding issues down the road. I really dont know why anyone would make a trailer on a tube frame anymore, but I'm not in the trailer business either.
Tube frame trailers are much stronger than channel trailers. You can look in your rear view mirror going down the road and see the difference.
Darris has Boatmate build the tube trailers for Allisons out of 3/16" tubing, most other boat companies use much thinner metal because as I stated above the tube is stronger even with much thinner metal. Since Allison trailers are thicker, they will out last other tube trailers. I have had customers that used them for seven years in brackish water (North Carolina Sounds) before they had to replace their trailer. Not bad for a painted tube trailer. Galvanized with paint over it is the way to go no doubt.
well there ya go, learn something new everyday. Thanks Lee!![]()
