Can you gentlemen help me out? Only one item on the Christmas list this year (buzzbait 007 hint-hint), a Humminbird fish finder/GPS. Which one do you guys recommend for a 2003? My main concern is the transducer installation. Would a unit with a thru hull be better (would the fuel tank need to be removed?) or the side imaging transducer transom mounted?
i mounted a 997 at the console and a 788 up front. some of these guys are pretty good with pics and will help you out. go to allisonowners.com and post there as well. good folks on both sites. 'texan' bill parker helped me alot with pics and advice. i was told to stay in the tray in front of the gas tank on my xb2003. others have tried putting it under and behind and notfaired so well. go to the sonar board on here and get some advice from those guys as well. good luck, jim

ouch...have always rooted for the pack when in the playoffs (nfc north) still have had a tough time doing that for the bears....
Does your 997 work well with the transducer in the tray? I would have thought it would have to be in the water to give you the best results,just curious.
