last chance for you to help prevent a big mistake!!!!

First of all i want to thank all you guys that posted to my earlier question, you have been great about giving info. But i am possibly going to bring this baby home this weekend and you guys are my saving grace if this is a bad idea! i just want to know if i should be afraid of this 2001 200 hp ram ficht on the back of this 2001 19 ss extreme. I have heard bad things about the early versions of the boat and motor, but they had supposedly fixed these issues by 2001. Just dont want to get a bad ride and you are the best guys i know to ask. i know for fact that there were some of the ficht series engines that were trouble, and that the first two years of production for this boat they had to re-hull a ton of boats, but everybody says htat the later models were a great product. thanx for all the info that you have already supplied and for anything yet to come.

If you had model number and serial number of motor Rusty might be able to look at it's past. You might could check the hull ID with stratos and see if it had/needed re-work. Good luck If all checks out you will be setting pretty with a fine Stratos and the best motor, Rude

Most of the motor issues were with the 150 and 175s. No help with the hull though.

The biggest problems were on the 150-175's The big blocks weren't plumb trouble free but if taken care of were good motors. Lot of guys on these boards running the 01 Rude 200-225's and love em!! If ya did ya home work ya should be fine!!
