That would be funny if people did not actually believe that. All three of those boats you mentioned would run off and leave the Nitro in any water he wanted to pick.

I had a guy at the ramp 2 weeks ago tell me his z9 ran 86 with a 250... ...He was asking me where i run my jackplate hieght at....I said you cant compare yours to mine as there not set-up know where close to the same....I said your boats good for low 80's...He said i was wrong and he did 86 the day before....I just walked away ...At the same time wondering why he was fishing from the boat ramp and not a z9 insight

I think I could run against any bass boat other than a 21ft ally on any water as long as the waves are not more than 20'3" apart.

Here local we had a 19' Express with a 200 hpdi that would run 99 gps straight out the dealers mouth.lol

What really kills me is not the exaggerated speed on any ginin brand, it's when several dozen people post almost identical speeds then all the sudden one guy has one that will do 10-12 mph more in the same boat, then all the sudden everyone has a buddy that has the same boat that will run the same speed, unreal

In the immortal words of BIG John McCarthy

    You ready ?-----You ready ?
    Lets git it on!!

I'll do him even one better. I have 2 friends with the 21 ft hulls that fish Amistad who only have the 250...Sure would not want someone saying I cheated by having a 300.

While were at this rough water race...lets do one on the trolling mtrs. We can start at marker 9 with a good SE breeze. Sure hope he has an extra long shaft for those ocean sized swells ---Cause I do..

Re: Fishnfireman watch out the next time your on Amistad (Props4u2)

My 79.5 mph (GPS) boat has passed many boaters claiming they were doing 85+ mph (GPS). When these guys see me at the launching ramp they ask me how fast I was going so I tell them 79.5 mph (GPS). Their jaw drops and they tell me no way because their GPS units were showing 85+ in their boat when I passed them (Hmmmm) I say. So I say, lets go over to my boat and look at my GPS units. When I show them my maximum speed for the day was 81.5 (GPS) recorded on both of my (GPS) units and the look on their faces is priceless . Then I ask to see their GPS units speed history for the day and guess what, they either do not have a GPS unit or their speed history records for their GPS units were tuned off . So goes another day of tall tails at the boat ramp. It should be noted that my GPS units are actually 1.5 mph slower then what they actually recorded. I have actual compared these GPS units to a Stalker radar gun showing 79.5 mph and not the 81.5 mph my units were displaying which is right in line for the maximum speed for a boat like mine. It is amazing what people think, say and believe .

    Hey Howard,
Long time no see. Hope you and your's are doing well.
Before GPS the boat shows use to bring out all the BS, 80 mph 150's were everywhere. Was difficult not to burst out laughing at times. Ah, the good old days.
