    Florida

Donna, Nancy and Darris Allison and I just returned from Clermont, Fl. where we met up with the B & WB team to perform a test session on the 21-BasSport Pro with a 225 Sport xs. I'm not going to post any of the results since that's what the magizine is for but I will say everyone will be very impressed. I want to thank Robbie Patterson of Propeller Dynamics for all the time he spent blue printing props and doing modifacations to lower units to achive the big numbers and excellent handeling we ended up with. Robbie and I spent many hours river testing and setting this boat up to achive the goals that Darris & I had hoped for. Oh yea, thanks Darris for building the greatest boats on the planet!

Lee, that's great!............I can't wait to see what you and Robbie got out of that combination. You keep getting that bigger boat faster, I may have to check the local banks for a loan...............LOL

    Hey Louis,
I saw the two Strokers there Wed. with the modded Hydrotec & Simmons motors testing. They looked pretty strong.

    Sorry we missed again!

    Mike,
Robbie purchased the prop and housing repair and mod. business from me in 2001, he worked for me 10 yrs. prior to that. As Rob stated, his shop is still here behind us.

    Re: Florida (fishnfireman)

My son Clay and I ran a customers XB-21 BasSport Pro yesterday that we had set up like the boat we tested in Fl., it actually has a 225 Pro XS because the customer wanted all the warranty he could get. The best we could ever get out of it with the torque master lower unit w/1.75 gears & a stock 27 Trophy was 77 mph. We installed one of my 1.62 Mod. Sportmasters and the same prop Robbie worked on for the test boat. Clay weighs 200 lbs. & I'm a little ok a lot over that now days, all the customers fishing gear including 2 mushroom anchors and a spare prop, the tide was slack as it ran 85.5 mph in both directions. This shows me that the pro xs and the sport are the same power heads for sure. The only difference is the solid mounts, Sportmaster 1.62 lower unit and the decals on the 225 Sport.

    Re: Florida (Props4u2)

That's one heck of an improvement---77 to 85..

Lee what is Robbie's Phone number ? I have a 27 Trophy I need to send his way.

    Lee,

How does the boat handle at 85.5 without the solid motor mounts?

    Re: Florida (fishnfireman)

    Mike,
    Robbies # is 804-706-1847.
Yep all the sweets are starting to show for sure!!
Merry Christmas to you and yours also!

    Greg,
Believe it or not it handled like a dream. If we go with this set up, it will have solid mounts installed. I'm sure the engine flops back the other way when dumping the throttle.
