How's the fishing experiance out of an Allison?

First let me start by saying you Allison owners are crazy! I have a couple of my lake and those guys are always doing insane speeds with massive chine walk, you guys have ball$ of steel! I'm a Skeeter owner, but love the look and speed of Allison's. I've always been curious what the fishing experiance is out of them? They look like every engineering decision was made to make the boat go fast and maybe overlook the fishing experiance? How's the front deck for casting? is there room for 2 people?

I wil have to admit coming out of ProCraft traditional layout bassboat to a XB 2003. It was a little alkward to begin with. I won't lie it's a little tough getting up and down out of the drivers seat. But, I feel three times more secure sitting behind the wheel of the Alley. The rod locker is different but, like any other brand once you get use to it its not that big a deal. It's by far hands down the best riding, handling boat I have ever drove or rode in. The rough water ride is unbelievable. With the back seats out theres lots of room for tackle boxes or whatever junk you want to take with you. Has tons of dry storage. You will be able to get away with a smaller trolling motor because the boat is so much lighter than any other brand of the same size. My 60# 24 volt drags it around like it ain't there. Accessing the front casting deck is alkward to start but, as I said before once you get use to it, It's not that big a deal. Besides the wind protection is worth it's weight in gold. I can were my ballcap straight at 80+. Try that in any other boat. I have never fished out of any boat that there was really lots of room with 2 up front. I suppose you could fish 2 out of the front if ya wanted to. The boat is a little weight sensitive but, once you get all the storage compartments situated with gear and batteries it's no problem. The livewell is huge. It has recirc, and fresh water pumps, timers etc. The back fishing deck is a little smallish. Keep in mind it is a pleasure boat also made to go fast so, If you are strickly fishing it prolly ain't the boat for but, if you like to pleasure cruise also you can't beat it. I suggest you flag one of those guy's down take a ride and look it over. Besides show me another boat You can put a stock 200 on run 85 mph gps light load full tank of gas or 80 mph gps with a fishing load. I can say I wish I would have bought one years ago. Happy Boat Hunting.

If these guys boats have "massive chinewalk" then sadly they haven't mastered
driving an Allison. They run flat and straight just like your Skeeter at 60mph.The XB-2002 is more like fishing a 17footer. The boat is narrow and not as stable as the xb 2003. The XB 2003 can fish two off the front but it again is not the deck and weight of your boat. For me, the efficiency , comfort, and ride way outweight any deckspace I give up. I am no small guy and it suited me fine. It's different but only takes a day on the water to appreciate the design.
I have zero experience in the 21 footers but what other owners say is they are fantastic fishing boats. I would not hesitate to fish 2 off the front of any of them.I would love to try one myself but I am medically out of commission. The BasSport pro has a Huge front deck and conventional layout .Check them out at http://www.allisonboats.com and look at the XB21 models .

I may have ALS but ALS does NOT have me.

If the guys were running down the lake chine walking.....they need to learn to drive their boat. Yes, you hafta drive an allison, but driven correctly it will sit up on the pad nice and level and run off and hide from anything else on the water.

You musta not looked at an XB21 yet! They have every fishing comfort and convenience known to man and as big of a front deck as you could ever ask for.

The XB2003 is a little less fisherman-friendly than the 21 but still a fine bass boat indeed. The XB2002 is the go-fast fishin boat and would take considerably more adjustments to get used to fishing from, but still a very capable fishin boat that holds just about every bass boat speed record.

They'll only chine walk if you let it fall off the pad.

If you have it balanced right then there is no chine walk, They will set up and purr at speeds other boats dream of, I came out of a 17'6" hydrasport and feel right at home on my xb2002 if fishing or playin.
