Hey, Don... As far as speed goes, it should run low to mid 80's, the ride will be second to none, handling will be great once you get used to it and fishing will be great once you get used to the rod boxes NOT being on the front deck... I love my BasSport 2+2 elite...

Ditto, what v6 said except speeds will be in the upper 80's with a ProSport 225 Sport combination with 2 aboard. My Bassport 2+2 demo with 2 guys weighing 250 & 210 lbs. with 3 delco batteries, motorguide 82# t/m & full of gas will run 88.9 on the rev. limiter, (6300 rpms) with 1.62:1 gears & an out of the box stock 26 Trophy. The only weight missing is fishing gear. The ProSport is 2 mph faster than the BasSport 2+2, so the speed will stay about the same in a ProSport as what I'm seeing with a lighter load in the BasSport 2 + 2. The ProSport is still my favorite model of the 21's due to the best wind protection of any bass boat ever built, but then again, I'm not a fisherman. The newest 21 BasSport Pro is the best tournement fishing boat Allison has ever built, and in my opinion, and many others, the best one built period. The BasSport Pro is the slowest of the three 21's, 2 mph slower than the 2 + 2 and 4 mph slower than the ProSport due to aerodynamics.

There are two different factory decals for the 21's, one states a maximum of 225 hp, the reason for this one is that most of the big tournements require a maximum rating now days. The other has a manufacturers recommended horsepower, not rated.
The hull weight is 1325 lbs. The prop depends on your intended use.

Re: thinking about a new allison (mrbassfla)

The 21 prosport is my pick of all bass boats. There are some boats out there that could have a better lay out as far as the rod lockers and storage in front. The 21 bassport pro has that more traditional bass boat front deck.

However I would not trade the center console protection of the prosport for ANY boat.
My 21 has an older 225 promax that will run low to mid 80s with a REAL tournament load. And do very well on fuel consumption while doing it. It also saves money on truck fuel while trailering over other 21 foot boats.
So far the best prop we have found for tournament use is a Trophy with the Allison cut.
