Where can an Ozzie get an Allison

I'm living in Central Queensland Australia and want to Get my hands on a fast bass boat to catch Barramundi ( 3ft+ 50lb +). We only have stratos here and I like quality and speed. So For some reason Allison seem to be 20% faster for a given horse power. Why is this so?? Are all your GPS's bias. Anyway I would like to import a new Allison or if their is something better let me know.

Re: Where can an Ozzie get an Allison (drag on)

Welcome to the Allison forum drag on,
Allison Bass Boats are 9+ mph faster than the next fastest Bass Boat size for size engine for engine. Check out their web site & read the history section, the inventions and technology they have brought to the boating industry is shocking to most.
I don't know of anyone exporting to Austrailia, give Nancy Allison a call @ 865-983-5924.

There is at least one Allison over there, don't remember how it was transferred there. He posted here I thought. I know of a Stroker bass boat in Africa, cost like $12K to be transported there, something close to that.

Let me know if when you are ready to ship your boat. I will be glad to get
you some rate quotes or container pricing. There are several boat companies
here in the East Tennessee area that regularly ship to your country. We might
be able to get a very good rate.

Which model of Allison are you interested in?

    Hi Drag On,

As far as I'm aware, I'm the only Allison Bass Boat owner in Australia. I brought in an XTB-21 earlier this year and organised everything myself, from overland US transport to shipping, clearence etc.......... It sure was a learning experience!

Mine was bought second hand from a gentleman on the Allison Owners website. It worked out fairly cheap for a 21ft boat with a 200 on the back (albeit 10 years old), but a lot of hidden costs crept in.

If you're after a new one I'd definitely get it shipped over without trailer in a cradle if possible, and 'packed' by someone who knows what they are doing and specialises in this sort of stuff.

Shoot me a message if you have any questions.

    Re: (rebel)

    Howdy Scott

Got her up past 70, but it got too hard to hold the GPS

Haven't had her out for a while (broke the propshaft and lost the beautiful prop I had) but there was a few rpm left so the 80 goal is in sight. I'll probably end up with a Lightning ET on it as cut choppers are very rare down under.

Don't send your 2002 over here - I won't be able to keep up with that animal And don't think I haven't been doing the sums to get it here myself

I'll keep you updated on the speed progress - got about 35 hours in the seat and the one thing I've learnt more than anything else is to balance the weight out.......... pretty funky to drive if it's out alot!

    Hi Drag On,

I understand this is about Allison but I just noticed that you believed only Stratos boats were the only american bass boats availible here in Australia.

My company imports Skeeter Boats to Australia. We are based in Sydney and if you are interested please give me a call on 0408 621 426, if not good luck with your search for an Allison

    Yours Sincerely
