What is there to do in Chicago? I will be there in May for my 1st anniversary. We will be staying downtown and have plans to go to the cubs vs whitesox game on the 18th. Any ideas of other stuff to see or do?

Go to millennium park. Lincoln park zoo. Michigan ave shopping. Many theaters/shows. When is you ann? Mine is the 9th gonna be 13 years!!!!
Anniversary is the 28th but we are celebrating a week before due to some work obligations.
There is a really good aquarium there. Shedd Aquarium. We went there in 2000 when we went for the Classic. Saw a really neat dolphin show while there.
Check out Navy Pier., too...

Navy Pier, countless restaurants to try, History Musuem, Lincoln Park Zoo, there is a theatre district with lots of good shows, Shed Aquarium, lots of bars, there are Chicago River tours.
The question is what do you want to do, what are your interest. I have been to quite a few other big cities, one thing you will notice about Chicago is it will probally be the cleanest big city you will ever be too, as far as the Downtown area, and close to it.

We are wanting to see wrigley, local dining, visit the millenium park, sears tower and something outdoors(fishing).
We like music so any local events during that time would be nice. ::
Is it just you and the wife. As far as bars go check out Howl At The Moon, it is a piano bar. Blue Man Group is a pretty good show if you have never seen it, and if you are into something a little different you can check out the Baton Club, just warning you it is a drag show. If the ballgame is at Wrigley Field when you are there i would highly recommend going, Wrigley is in a very nice area of Chicago, and lots of bars very close, if it is at Comiskey or Sox stadium it will still be fun, but the location of where the Sox play is pretty crappy and not much to do nearby after the game.

Not sure but Gibson's Steakhouse is probally the most known steakhouse in Chicago, Mortons Steakhouse, Signature Room are very well known also, very pricey but everything in Chicago is pretty expensive. Recommend making reservation well in advance if you would like to go to the big name restaurants, there is also Ruth Chris Steakhouse. If you like italian food try Maggianos not too expensive either.

Is this the place that closed 3 years ago?
I absolutely hate the City of Chicago...but...
Ed Debevicks is a fun Dinner
gotta go to Second City
On Oak street there is a little basement piano bar ( cant remember it name right off) but if you like that sort of thing it is like stepping back in time.
Howl at the Moon is a fun bar if you do that
There are some killer blues bars. go to Buddy Guys Legends...you might sit down next to Tommy Lee Jones, or Lonny Brooks...you never know who might see there.
The history tours are interesting.
The boat tour down the river is okay
The dinner cruises have really Good food.
There used to be a tour called "little known Chicago"...dont know if it is still going. I cant believe the eccentric old man who ran it is still alive but maybe someone took up the mantle. That is a good tour. I doubt since 9/11 you can get into the tunnels under the city anymore ( I worked int he tunnels for awhile which is how I found this tour) but if they are still doing that...the tunnels are pretty cool.
Boat tour. Navy pier. make sure you go down lake shore drive at night.
