    Scott Martin with Okuma?

Ive noticed over the last month or so ol Scott has strayed away from Kistler/Abu Garcia and went to Okuma.Hes always been a really big Kistler guy and seemed like he loved there products and showed them off very well.Im a kistler man myself and i know theres nothing wrong with there products because they seem to get better and better every year and the ZBones are unreal. Its probably a money thing but i would think as big of a company Kistler and Abu Garcia is that they could had met his needs just as good as Okuma if thats what it is.Im not even sure how long Okuma has been around and havent heard anything at all about how good/bad there products are so i have no say in that.Anyone have some input on this?

In the fly fishing world Okuma is some of the best bang for your buck my 5,6,8,10 Weight fly rods all have okuma reels. I have never used their bait casters for bass fishing and for some reason I never even think to look.

Have several buddies that have the Okuma Musky rods and I have used them before, they are nice rods for sure. I plan on getting one myself soon.

Maybe there starting to get into freshwater as much as they are saltwater. But i also think its just a money thing. But like I said,as big as Abu and Kistler is you would think they would try and dish out a little more to keep him around since he is one of the top guys on tour

I have some Okuma spinning reels that have never let me down! Smoothest drag I ever had! Can't say the same about the Abu-Garcia spinng reels that I bought. Had them get smoked with a big northern up in Wisconsin! Lost the fish & the reel was a POS afterwards! Okuma makes quality equipment!

I bought an Okuma fiberglass crankbait rod because it was the only one i could find at a decent price. So far it works great and I like it but I put a cheaper shimano reel on it that has been giving me fits so I may replace that but the rod works great.

I was @ a seminar that Scott Martin gave & he had a Duckett rod w/ a Okuma bait caster. He claimed it was a weight saving thing because of all the flipping on the Big O.
