    Year age of this motor - 225 SHO

    Can anyone confirm the year model of this 225 SHO motor based on SN?

    6CCL-1001133.

    From reading, I calculate this to be a 2011 model, am I correct?

    Hard to say on the parts look up it states this for the vf225.
    VF225LA-0113 2013
    VF225LA-0112 2012
    VF225LA-0411 2011
    VF225LA-0410 2010
    VF225LA-1009 2009

    6CCL-1001133 Maybe it's a 2013

    Not sure that number will tell you the model year. Mine is 1000928 and its a 2011. There is a tag on the other side that gives you production date but it still doesnt tell you the model year.

    Call Yamaha customer service. They can put into system and tell year model also what warranty work has been done to it.

    Its a 2011 and was never registered for warranty.
