i was just wanting some input on this motor it is a 2005 evinrude ho the power head has been replced once but i no nothing about these motors could someone tell me abput the good and the bad and if they would buy one and do these motors run strong it is on a2005 295 thanks for the feed back
Mike, Welcome to the BBC; You will enjoy it here and it will be very helpful to you...........Warning , it is habit forming. If you will post the model and serial # on the motor when you can and the guru's can get the history on the motor for you. The H.O. is a dang good motor with plenty of torque and get up and go on top. The motors are very reliable and general maint. and service will keep the engine going for a long time. If all checks out on the motor.........hours, diagnostics, condition, and warranty.................go for it, You won't be disappointed!!....................Roger

I am just wondering if I should be cocerned about the power head being blown once it has had a new one put on it but I have never had one go and did not know if there was motor problems that lead to a blown power head and if it would for sure do it again or not because im not sure of the waranty that is left
If you post the serial number we may be able to see what caused the failure of the power head.
I will get that as soon as I can the dealer has it now but I was curious with a blown power head on this motor does that mean I would continue to have problems

Not likely.
If the dealer found the reason the power head failed and repaired it then you should have no more problems.
Is this a DI motor?
