Is the install something a pretty good mechanic can do at home, or is this best left to a boat mechanic?
Just wondering, Ive' got a 96 venom and was looking to get a litlle better performance.

Carbs have to come off, intake has to come off, reed cage out. New gaskets all the way back out. Timing may need to be advanced. Maybe a little better hole shot and mid-range punch. Maybe smoother Idle. Advantage if you break one doesn't hurt the innards. Yeah you can do it if you have the instructions or a manual. About a 6.5-7 out of 10 in difficulty.
Did mine at home last year with no problems.Smoother idle 2-3 mph on top end.don't get in a hurry or you'll miss a step putting it back together lots of screws and bolts.
BUT.......Sometimes when they lean snezze, they will damage the reeds and then you get to do it all over again.......... For the differance I personally don't think it is worth it...

He runs a 60* eagle block you run a 90* looper big difference,
