Is the install something a pretty good mechanic can do at home, or is this best left to a boat mechanic?
Just wondering, Ive' got a 96 venom and was looking to get a litlle better performance.
Will this help much?![]()

Carbs have to come off, intake has to come off, reed cage out. New gaskets all the way back out. Timing may need to be advanced. Maybe a little better hole shot and mid-range punch. Maybe smoother Idle. Advantage if you break one doesn't hurt the innards. Yeah you can do it if you have the instructions or a manual. About a 6.5-7 out of 10 in difficulty.
Did mine at home last year with no problems.Smoother idle 2-3 mph on top end.don't get in a hurry or you'll miss a step putting it back together lots of screws and bolts.![]()
