Question for the Experts about the ignition ?????

I have a 07 225 HO ETEC.. Today at the lake I noticed that when I turned the key the battery acted as though it was very weak. The battery was 4 yrs old and checked out a little weak. Bought a new 1000 cca battery and hit the key and it seemed to barely spin the motor. I did notice when I turned the key hard to the right, this is when it happened. When I barely turned the key it started fine. --Is this something I should be worried about.---IS THIS NORMAL????

You may want to check the Battery connections, if all is good there you may need a new key switch.
