Wow. Camera panned the the stands and they look empty. I know the economy and all but Bristol used to be one of the hardest tickets in Nascar. I was at Las Vegas last week and it was pretty full.

Bristol isn't as good as it was before they re-paved it.
Still looks like a heck of alot of empty seats to me.

Yep pretty empty but I bet come the night race there won't be an empty seat in the house.
I think alot of Nascar fans want to spend the dollar at the "super speedways"

Look at the economy, some are having to save what they can just to make it to work and buy groceries. No extra money for gas to travel and other non fundamental items.
Oh but the economy is on the right track according to our leaders.

I went to Bristol for 12 years spring and fall and stayed at Shadrack campground. After redoing the races got boring to me. Have not been their in two years.![]()

Exactly! Why mess with a good thing. The old saying if ain't broke don't fix it sure does ring true here. The track sucks and DW talks about how you can race two and three wide. I think it sucks. We used to go has season tixs and one of the best campsites around but after the first race when they redone the banking that was enough for me. They can blame it on the economy but I think it's the track![]()

Its racing hoped up production cars..... they keep it simple for the fans only left turns..... don't want it over complicated.... might baffle them...............![]()
I was on a waiting list and finally got tickets after 3 years waiting back in the late 90's. The year before I moved to TX we quit the spring race because the weather was to unpredictable. It was insane...one day shorts and the next almost freezing your azz off.
They did screw up the track when they repaved it though, I agree.

Same here sold my tickets the last 3 years for the same reason.![]()
those stands looked like a truck race. It was sad and bet they look hard at even opening the back strech seats next year.

?? Bet $300 worth of spring tickets that there will be seats for the August race ?
We have tickets and haven't been to either race in 2 years because of other commitments. The spring tickets you about have to give away and August tickets sell for less than face value. Problem with the March race is it's to early..... its a 75% chance it will either rain or 10% chance of snow. Looks like this year was "the" 15% 'r![]()
