I've not been there, not sure why anyone would go there and have not a damn clue as to what you are getting at.
My wife and I have been to the Fl Keys 6 times. Absolutely love the keys.

Ahhh the honeymoon i am in the middle of booking ours and we were looking at staying in the US, but after looking at some all inclusives in the carribian I just could not pass up the deals. It will be much cheaper than staying at a nice place in the us. I mean unlimited rum and cokes and swim up bars. I go to Orlando ALOT for work conventions and it is a decent town. pros-great restaurants and entertainment there is a nice outdoor restaurant district by the convention center that has a capital grill ( she will be impressed but it is expensive), great sushi restaurant and a cool Greek restaurant some cool bars with some belly dancersAnd I really enjoy the bb king blues bar. I have stayed in new Hilton and it is really nice. Cons- getting there you will be flying with 125 over excited, sugar high children that have colds and the airport is one of the worst in the us, with the huge security lines. I don't get to see much of the town but I do enjoy it when I get there.
If your honeymoon is anything like mine were, you'll be spending a fair amount of it horizontal. Who cares if it's school holidays.
This is Mike Pags' fiance, told me about the Orlando dilemma, so while he eats dinner I thought I'd try to help as I grew up in Orlando too. I don't know if you're familiar with cirque du soleil shows, but La Nouba in Orlando is fantastic and a must see if you're there. Discovery cove is cool, that's where you can swim with the dolphins. I-drive is full of neat restaurants and shopping, Cafe Tu Tu Tango is fantastic and so much fun if you go on a Friday or Saturday night.

coming from a ucf alumni, best bet is doing the same thing said here before me, disney parks, universal, lake is toho and get a guide go live bait fishing. There is a very unique resturant cafe tu tu tango, check this place out its on I-Drive. aka international drive. Best of, stay away from downtown, heavy homeless and crime after dark.
