I've typed in warranty and abu garcia warranty but I'm not finding the past thread that had info on sending in broken rod. When I looked on AG site it says send 9.95 and proof of purchase. The rod was won and I don't have a receipt and I'm sure the rod was donated to the club. No one has a receipt that I can locate! Am I SOL?

Take it to your local outdoor store ie Dicks or something or even Wal-Mart....Wal-Mart here in Texas now sales the Vertious n Vendetta's....so you can tame it there without a receipt n exchange for another....all they'll do is take down your DL's number n then tell you to get another....any AG dealer especially if they sale that brand must take it and they can send it in for warranty....or of they are a good dealer they'll swap it for you n then they'll send it in and get another to replace the one they gave you....
Or go to the AG/Purelife website n call them n talk to them directly....

Just the 9.95 and receipt? You dont have to send in the rod butt? Or anythin proving it broke?
I do not have the receipt nor is there an Academy here. I looked up DSG and read their warranty info and it don't sound promising. Guess I'll have to call and talk to CS to see what they say after I ask them if they even sell the veritas rod! Is DerekB a dealer?

Chris Derrick just responded to my email said cut the rod once and send it in along with the 9.95 and his email response.. Thanks for all the post and getting me pointed in the right direction
The butt end broke on a verdict i had last year.Maybe its cause all my life i have grown up around the local dealers store here and always in an out buying stuff and weve gotten to know each other.But i took it in,he said see if i have the same one on the shelf.He did and i walked out with a new one.Sure as hell better warrantys than rods 2-3 times there price.
