XP 200 Fuel Injection

Can someone tell me what year Evinrude started using fuel injection on the XP 200?

The XP200 was never offered with fuel injection. I believe 93 was the last year of the XP/GT motors. The ficht fuel injection (DFI) came out in 97. None of the fichts were XP/GT motors.

There are a couple of after market companies that offer direct replacement (of the carbs) fuel injection. They work really well and are one of the few things you can do to your motor that will actually increase reliability.

the 93's were the intro of the adjustable low speed carbs and the closed deck design blocks. It depended on the suffix on the motor of what you had.

Not to hijack a post but what companies offer the EFI for the older carbed motors? I know that one company is MAD EFI?? Any others??

Mad is the only one I know of.

I know of a couple of guys building efi systems besides MAD. Tony Bracato has a system coming out and a guy in Texas has a nice slide system but I don't thinkhe is marketing it yet.
