Just bought some zoom brand flukes, never used a fluke nor do i know anything about them. I bought some so i could broaden my horizon on my tackle arsenal.

If its got boobs, tires, siding, or an outboard motor you have trouble!!!
Use a 4/0 or 5/0 offset EWG hook
either weightless with a 5-0 EWG or with a split shot about a foot up. Thats how I've always rigged em

Trail your chatterbaits with themSeriously, I won't throw a chatterbait without a fluke trailing it.

4/0 hook and use a splitshot with them like a C-rig.
I always have a fluke tied on. EWG hook weightless. Also a good c-rig bait.
Like a jig trailer. The first thing I do when I get a chatterbait is throw away the trailer they send with them. Throw on a fluke and hold on. Looks like shad swimming. I can't tell you how many bass I've hammered over the past three years on that set up. A guy in Oklahoma clued me into that when I was on Grand a few years ago.![]()
I use a 4/0 EWG with a wrap of SuspendStrip just before the hook bend. When the fluke flutters down it's a bit more active.

I'm going to try that when I can fish again without having to drill holes.![]()

You can use a fluke in a number of ways. Rigged weedless with no weight. On a jig head. Carolina rigged, Texas rigged and so on.

Nice I will give that a shot. That time of year is here![]()
I fish them on a light jig head, 3/16

Put it on a "Swarming Hornet". Great for under baitfish schools.
I like to rig on 5/0 EWG Gammie hook with about a 8in leader tied to a brass or stainless #7 swivel. Cuts down on twist and gives the something big chasing something smaller effect.![]()

You won't be sorry! I stock up on flukes every year just for it. Pearl white with the white chatterbait and gray with black back for the black and blue chatterbaits. I never leave the dock without those tied on, no matter what kind of water or what time of year. They are killer!!!![]()
On an Alabama rig of course![]()

I fish them on a jig head sometimes rigged flat. (4" ones) and weightless of course t-rigged with a 4/0 ewg. I sometimes tail or nose weight them with the lead nail weights.
Really not anyway to rig them wrong.
