Most of you guys dont know me but i would ,at times start a topic or answer one
i know noboby cares but iam 77 years old and have got a few medical problems .
The dr have asked me to quit fishing, He dont know what he is asking!!!!
But i have found out that i cant stand or sit and fish. Get tired in about a hour and have to quit. Wife will not let me go myself. I injoyed fishing by myself. So iam going to quit. Got my ranger boat up for sale. There is a marina here in town that i have bought a couple new boats from but not this ranger. He is having a boat show the 9th and 10th of march. I asked him if he wanted to try and sell boat he said ok will see what happens Man after fishing for about60 years or more, how in the hell do you quit. i guess i will go back to doing woodworking and making wood lures. hey guys dont get old, well maybe thats the best way ken kindle

Well don't that just suck. At 77 though i'd say you made a pretty damn good run to just now give up on all the work of owning and dragging a boat to the lake. Time to relax a little and hitch a ride with a buddy. I bet you would have no problem finding someone at the Big Monon ramp to take you out for a few hours. You could join TVA as a nonboater and hang around a bunch of guys that basically live on Shafer and Freeman. Some of them boys fish several days/week and I'm sure they would be glad to take an old timer out

Get into a couple draw tournys from time to time like BFLs or something as a co. You can sit and rest all day while enjoying what ya love at the same time. Plus your wife won't have to worry about ya being alone. Just a thought

Sorry to hear that you are giving up fishing. Maybe you could think about becoming a sponsor and selling some of your home made lures. I will be the first to pitch in on your sponsor fee, just let me know, at least it may still give you a little satisfaction of seeing guys post pics of fish cought on your baits, it's just a thought
