    It's not a Smartphone but...............

it will do for what I use it for.

I've had my Convoy since it came out in 2009. Figured it was time for new one. I won't be able to BBC in the toilet or on the boat like some of you guys. but I dont care. If I'm out fishing that's the last thing I want to do

If I wanted a smartphone and the Bill to go with it ($130+) I would. But my phone bill for wife and I is about $97.00 a month not gonna mess with it

From the looks of the features on that phone...it is a smartphone. Looks like you would have to pay the data fee to activate it. But apparently not.

That would be a oxymoron "Ryan with a smart phone"

    Isn't that the truth

No, it is not a smartphone. It does not support any Android or other OP system. It is a Basic 3G phone. Yes, I can access web if I want too, & pay the fee's accordingly. I have all web access & other features on all of my phones blocked so no one can get on them by accident, including downloading ringtones. Data fee's are too damn much so I will not be using it as such.

It is a very nice touch-screen phone with Qwery slider. It is the predecessor to the U370 (Samsung Reality), that was very highly rated by its users until it was discontinued.

You know you might be able to get smart for even less than you are paying now...

I just dumped my Cox land line and my Verizon wireless for Virgin Mobile and its about $37 a month for 300 min and unlimited data per person.

And you can get a very nice LG Optimus V for less than $100... got mine for free when my wife bought hers.

That would be nice but both T-mobile and Virgin do not have that good of support & rent tower time in my area. They are cheaper for a reason in some cases.

    Re: It's not a Smartphone but............... (R.D.)

If you go to Straight Talk (and you can take your own phone) it is only $45/month unlimited text, talk and data.

That's the plan I went with and I am very happy with it.

Ohhhhh......and it's a monthly contract ......you don't have to obligate to anything longer if you don't want to.

that is for 1 phone. Add my wifes and now we pay $90 + all the other fee's and crap. The $97 I pay is taxes, fee's and everything for 2 phones. My plan is Grandfathered in. It's $50 for Family plan + $9.99 per line. so I pay $69.98 for 2 phones plus add $10 for text package, so $79.98 a month + all other crap they charge you now

I wanted to get Smartphones but then it was going to cost me $150+ a month not including buying phones

    Re: It's not a Smartphone but............... (R.D.)

My exact bill is for $49.16 and they just pull it out of my account unless I cancel.

My wife has the cheaper plan that is $30 a month (she doesn't use her phone much) and it has 1000 minutes/phone/text/pictures and 30MB of data a month.

I am not exactly sure what hers is but it is about $3 or $4 more like mine, so probably $34 or so.

You can get the plans cheaper if you "buy in" longer then monthly.

Just sharing with you, in case you are interested, Sometimes coverage isn't as good as the Verizon I had but then again my brother has Straight Talk and his is a Verizon card that he buys monthly and recharges???
