    Here by The Grace of God! 51 Years Old Today!

    At 6:00 on June 25, 2010 I got the phone call of my life, I answered the phone and heard "Hello is this Mr. Bafford?" Me: Yes it is. Caller: "Mr Bafford we have found a heart for you and would like you to get to the hospital as soon as you can." By the next morning June 26, I had a new heart pumping in my chest!

    I would have never seen this birthday if it wouldn't have been for the decision someone made to become an organ donor and give the gift of life to me. Thank you to everyone who is an organ donor....John

    That's awesome! Happy Birthday!

    A friend of mine was on his death bed. Lungs were toast, on oxygen full time.
    He received a double lung transplant. Lungs were from a 19 year old.
    Within a couple months after the surgery you couldn't even tell anything had been wrong with him. He's going on 4 years now. Amazing what doctors can do now days.

    On August 11, 2007, I got the call for my new kidney.
    The next morning (my Dad's birthday), I came out of surgery with a functioning kidney.
    It was just a few weeks before I was to start dialysis.
    Please everyone, consider being an organ donor.
    Let your family know, and sign the back of your drivers license (in Tennessee) to be a donor.
    I'll be 52 years old in June.
