Although unofficial at this point, it appears the White Crappie record that has stood since 1953--Fred Bright--Enid Lake, MS--5# 3oz, has been crushed today.
6#1oz--from the next Corp Lake to the South--Grenada.
No details yet, but sources appear credible.

I don"t know which color crappie,but back in the 70"s maybe late 60"s the Santee Cooler Lakes held the world record at that time of 5 lb 7 1/2 ozs & missed tieing the oposite color by 1 oz.At some point Santee Cooper lost that record.
