I started to get depressed after reading the first couple of pages. I will finish reading it & go through there web site when I have a few hours. Stopped at reference to that thing you are not suppose to do or it sqweeks. goes bye bye And he is still confident in these engines.

Very user friendly engine. isint it. This will only help us and E-Tec.

Don't be so thin-skinned, you ought to see what some of the Harley Davidson sites due to "newbies" there when they don't like thier posts. THT is just schoolyard stuff!

Hell I'm OK. Only told the truth. They wrote it all on their own site which is accessable to all. They are telling their own mates the problems they are experiencing with the motors they themselves idolise. I consider it a great tool for intending customers to make an informed choice. Is that wrong???

I may be wrong here but didnt merc basically stop selling verados to bass boat makers? since the weight and such is not what the verado is least known for on a bass boat? I know only a few boats that can stand the weight of it in the tail and then it is not exactly the fastest pony on the block. isnt that why they came out with the new engines designed especially for bass boats and speed racers like hydro and such?
I for one would never put a verado on the butt of my boat for a number of reasons least of all in some cases it is not compatable with electronics and hot foots and such unless you get a special one, also I could not have FREDDY work on it as he doesnt do Black ( grin)


ON another subject that is not talked about on here still looking for a report of ho/250 carbs on a closed deck 200 and weather they will do anything or not. also if they do looking for a set maybe if a certian persons work

I don't know of anybody who has actually done this. Try S&F. Also take a close look at the Frankenrude thread below on S&F. It is the best I've ever seen for wakin' up your OMC. There will be some weapons on the water which will really stir things up when these engines appear.

been to s&f anf posted looking for carbs all I got for a reply was I needed a new air box.

Carbs are the problem with building a high performance looper. THEY SUCK! They do not meter the fuel correctly across the entire rpm band and leave lean spots and rich spots. The lean spots can melt your motor if you stay in the spot to long and the rich spots bog the motor.

There are a lot of things being developed for the loopers from alot of different sources. The frankenrude thread at screamandfly has a lot of the new stuff that will be out in a while. I know of a few more things out there for these motors also but I can't talk about it yet. Soon.
