It's amazing to see just how banked the track is there. The crew can hardly walk up...or down it without help...

Can't believe he never made an effort to slow down, guess he was plan on passing the safety crew at 190mph.

He did make an effort... Didn't you see the sparks from beneath the car when he slammed on the brakes; and the resultant skidmarks from all 4 tires as he flew up the banking & into a piece of safety equipment that was lit up, flashing & blinking like the 4th of July?!?

Love how DW and the boys tried giving him a pass with, "The car must've broke... He had a vibration earlier;" Etc, etc, etc...

    Mmm hmm... Yep.

Looked more like a typical JPM brainfart to me... If I'm wrong, I'll be big enough to apologize when proven so.

I am no expert...but it sure looked like a bunch of sparks started shooting out before his spin...That could have been a major disaster....They are very lucky a few people didnt not die during that

The rear end in the car was clearly broke when he was in the pits. When he pulled out it finally broke the rest of the way and he lost control. May have been the transmission but the sparks were coming from the rear end of the car.

The first sparks I saw were from the right front of the car... Maybe a bad interp from me... I read it as locked up brakes, not a broken rear end or trans... As I said, I'll eat some crow if need be... And Jerry, you're correct... Could have been bad and that's what I thought when I first saw the wreck.

Most of those safety trucks aren't pulling a jet-dryer. Most of them are fire/collision /leaking fluids/first-to-the-site, etc vehicles... And a BUNCH of them have personnel riding in the box or even on the tailgate during NASCAR events...

Thank God that wasn't the case here (it was the first thing I thought when I saw the truck on fire)...

We can banter and joke about it because no one was seriously hurt.

    Re: (hatcreek)

So, he knew something was wrong and he hauled ass to catch up with the rest of the pack? Sure don't make a lot of sense to me.thats like knowing your tire is flat and driving 80 down the interstate and wondering when your gonna wreck

    Re: (TritonMan250)

They are race car drivers not mechanics...If they pulled in every time they thought something was wrong they would all end up 50 laps down
