    Rude ID

Hey Guys, Help!! I need to identify my motor & year model so I can get parts & fix it. I think it is an early 90s Rude, but I can't read the sticker. It says E175....then can't read the rest. The SN is G3039340. Is there a way to ID it from that? I may need a block or sleeve job for it also if anyone can help. (Thanks, I'm a newbe and really like your forum!)

Damn, I hate to hear of them kind of problems. Where ya find water to float a boat in NM???? J/K I lived in Carlsbad for a year and half and Avalon was the only lake with more than a foot of water for miles around!!!

    Welcome to the BBC.

Your motor is a 95 or older and I cant get info on it as Bomb has cleaned all information prior to 96 from the data base.

Have you owned it since new?

They wiped all the info on the 95 and older motors, they cant even access it.

Yeah, I hear ya regarding water in NM!! I'm way up north of where you lived and I live on Heron Lake. It's over 200 ft deep at the dam! It's sure not a bass lake though and I have to travel 50 miles to the closest bass fishing la ke! Bummer!!

Look at your title or bill of sale if you still have it, the model # is somewhere. Also does it say GT/XP, FastStrike/Intruder? That is would be a start. CM

    Re: Rude ID (RUSTY63)

Thanks for the welcome and reply. No, I just bought a Nitro bass boat with this motor on it. One cylinder is blown. I know a lot about cars, but a newby to these 2-stroke boat engines. I may have to have you take a look to see if it's worth fixing. I hope it's fixable cause I'm on a fixed (low) budget.

That is a start what year is that Nitro and does the motor have a Nitro/tracker marine decal on the side of it? How long is the boat?

Look at the carbs, see if there is a decal with a 6 digit number on it, I may be able to narrow it down.

    Re: Rude ID (ChampioNman)

The boat is a 92 and 19 ft. long, but the motor doesn't have a Tracker sticker on it. The guy I got it from wasn't sure if it was the original motor that came with the boat.

    Re: Rude ID (RUSTY63)

Yeah, a sticker on one of the carbs is 436936. Below that is 01-H-T and then MEXICO. I would want to rebuild these carbs also. Will that number get me the right carb kits?

    Re: Rude ID (Bass_er)

OK, its a 94 or 95, they used the same part number on both year model motors and all the rebuild parts look the same.

The carb kit part number is 438996.

    Hope this helps.
