Re: Danica Patrick and the rain at Daytona (Quickrelease)

Her own teammate bumped her from behind (NO--he really did--ok----- with his car), She got loose (that's roundy round talk for losing control of a car that only turns left, any right turns the car doesn't know what to do and goes right into the wall). The media didn't report if she was going whip that boy's arse.
I give her credit on her driving skills, open wheel ya just don't bump and rub---give her a few more years to become an aggressive driver and I think she'll do ok------------hell the women on the streets are aggressive drivers and most other drivers get out of their way.

Anybody that drove an Open Wheel Car deserves respect. IMO not one of those NASCAR pansies could make the jump to F1 without imminent death (theirs or somebody else's.)
There's a huge learning curve going from cars touching and death, to rubbin's
    racin.

About as big a jump from Indy to F1----naturally aspirated to super charged. Friend of mine drove Indy, never made the move to F1---- Is there even any Americans racing F1's ?

Re: Danica Patrick and the rain at Daytona (bigfish)

First, she only won one open wheel race in seven years and it was weather shortened I believe. I don't see the media going nuts for Sam Hornish Jr. He won way more in open wheel and can't get a ride in Sprint. You have Stenhouse, a very talented young man, struggling for sponsorship but Danica has money thrown at her. I don't care if you are a man, woman, monkey or an elephant...if you can drive and you prove yourself, then I have no problem with hype. I do have a problem with manufactured hype for someone who not only hasnt proven themselves, they have failed to do so with the opportunities given.

Table, have you actually watched F1? I have been to several and watched many on tv. The average margin of victory is about four to five seconds! They don't rub because they spread out so much after the first lap, they can't rub!

Yes, when I built race cars, I followed F1 closely. The shop owners bled Ferrari red. I have driven numerous Super Cars, and I would/will own a 360 when/if my driveway is conducive to such machine.

BTW - I still occasionally off road race (drive or crew as needed.) I have a 490hp naturally aspirated stroked sbc buggy, with Curries everything (hybrid 35 spline 9's f/r to the control arm joints) sitting next to my Gambler.
