Seloc Manuals any good?

I was just considering buying one of these manuals. Do any of you recommend this brand? I've looked through the Clymer manual and I hate the format that it's in. I will not buy one of those. I'm also having a hard time coughing up $100 for an OMC Factory manual unless they are really that much better quality. Thanks in advance for any input you all may have. I've learned a ton already. I just hate to keep bothering the techs for free info. that I know is available in a repair manual. Also if any of you have an old manual that you'd like to get rid of that covers my 1986 E150TLCDC, I'd be interested in purchasing a used one in decent condition.

Look on ebay. I got my OMC manual for less than $50.

John check with your dealer, I got mine for $ 57.00 new at my dealer and it is OMC Manual...Good luck.

Don't want to be a sad sack, but after 10 years old it goes to Ken Cook. Otherwise the dealer can order for the oldies be still comes from Ken.

Well, thanks for the honesty Championman... you've helped me out a bunch. I'll see what I can find, but I'll probably just have to choke it down along with every other expensive boat thing I encounter.

-Just to give you hope John. I won this factory service manual for $11 shipped. I was absolutely thrilled.

I've got the exact same engine as yourself, and I thought it would be months before I found anything. One helpful tip is, go to ebay's website:
-In the serach field, put in '1986 evinrude service manual' (or whatever you want)
-Then when the found items come up, on the right, click on the 'Add to Favorite Searches' button
-Then ebay will send you a reminder whenever that item is listed for sale.
-It took about a month to find mine. I got it today and it's awesome!
