Mud flaps or rock deflector while towing??

Guys; I have a Big truck with 37" tires, and just bought a new Z9. I am worried about rocks hitting the hull. Anybody running flaps or the bristle deflector?

I got a towtector and as far as I am concerned either one pays for itself in protecting your boat

I have a fishing buddy that has something similar but it's a flap that goes all the way across instead of being seperated in 2 sections for the rear wheels. His 96 Bullet has almost no nicks or scratches anywhere. I'm guessing it works.

It's not the boat, it's the trailer that will take the pounding.
My boat is painted (not gel). I drive a dually and the boat almost lives behind that truck.
    Boat looks fine underneath.
Trailer looks like crap from gravels and stuff.

A friend and I built one for my truck,,1 ton Dodge. We used 1 Big rig mud flap cut in half on both sides and ordered the brush screen stuff from an RV website. Square tubing and a welder. it goes clear across without any gaps due to the Brush stuff. Sorry no pic's right now. I have even had guys stop me on the street and ask me where they could buy one

I had extra long mud flaps installed. They hand to within 4 inches of the ground. It was the cheapest way to go and just as effective.

I've got the tow-tector. Had it since new & no chips on trailer or boat. Easy to put on & take off.
