Have an 06 Etec 225 HO that the water temp buzzer keeps going off. The water pump is pumping when I get up on plane I have about 10 lbs of water pressure. I can go about a 1/4 mile and the thing goes off and the motor idles down. I turn the motor off and she cranks right back up and I can go about another 1/4 mile. The motor is an eary 06 and was wandering if this could be just a computer glitch.

Your dealer should have downloaded the software fix as soon as you told him about the "overheat" alarm problem.
There is a software update that has been available for quite a while, only takes minutes to install, and is covered by warranty.

A Technical troubleshooter possessing more tools than talent !
I have a few of these engines with the same issue. [Phoenix AZ] At this point the updated maps have not helped , The poppet valve fix has not helped!! As of WED BMC told me that they will have a new MAp by Friday or monday and on one of the peticular engines they are having me install different tstats. I will post to let you know how it goes. 10 PSI at WOT is LOW. Do you have a Jack Plate??
Water pressure of 10 psi way to low. Should be above 12psi or you will overheat.Of course this is up at throttle cruise or above.
