    Gary Loomis Rods

Anyone tried these ? Not a lot of selection, but thinking about giving one a try. Looks like a nice $100.00 rod.

A very good friend of mine is a pro staffer for TFO down here, and he is very impressed with them. He wouldn't use them if they were crap.

I think the OP is talking about the TFO (tackle fork outfitters) with the gary loomis name on them there not g loomis rods or anywhere near as nice.

They are more robust than a Loomis rod, much cheaper and yet cost the same to produce. They don't have a prepaid replacement program with them though.

I use a 6'6" MH for topwaters, it does well.

    Re: Gary Loomis Rods (croix-man)

I just bought one this past weekend.....I was trying to decided between the TFO and a Ducket. My decision was made, because I could not get over that giant decal on the Ducket rod that said "Made in China." The TFO might be made in China also, but if it is I could not find a sticker anywhere on it.
