I think we will skip the $118.00 3 hour donkey ride but other than that how was it. Does and don'ts?
Plan on having a travel trailer my mid summer and staying at the park there.

Went when I was a kid.
Back then, It was a small, quite, stream; winding it's way through a gentle rolling field.
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........
A friend of a cousins aunts uncle said he knew her. And it was a canyon.![]()

oops i thought this was a thread about my exgirlfriend
Been there a couple of times. My dad actually does tours up there out of Sedona. Absolutly amazing.
I was there 2 years ago in Sept.. Beyond words. Everyone should see it at least once. Sedona is also a very cool place to visit. If your that close with a trailer I would hit there also.
It's hot and you'll see lots of this.

Take a white water trip. They have them for various lengths. That is the only way to really see the canyon, plus the guides are all full of BS. You will have a wonderful time!!!!!!!![]()

One of those places that everybody should see once. A couple of years ago, my wife and I took a helicopter ride and landed down about 1/2 way I guess and had lunch, walked around for about 30 minutes and headed back. Simply amazing. Kind of like skydiving. It was breath taking, but probably wouldn't pay to do it again, but recommend everybody do it once.

How much did that cost?
I have always wanted to see it but never have. Back when I was 17 I hitched a ride from OKC to LA with a neighbor lady and her daughter. The daughter and I talked the lady to take the detour off I-40 and go see it. We were on the road up to the GC, about 25 miles away, and the old gal decides it's all taking too long and damned if she didn't turn the car around and go back without seeing the most spectacular geological feature on planet Earth.![]()
Another time, a friend of mine were talking and I told him that story. So, he cooks up a 2 or 3 day road trip for the two of us and I was going to bring my son, who was around 12 at the time. I told my wife what we were planning and she gets all pouty and makes some comment about going on vacation without her. So the whole thing gets chitcanned.![]()

Last year, my wife and I got to talking about going to the Grand Canyon but then our grandson was born 2 months early. That was a good thing to delay a trip for but... One of these days, I'll get there.![]()
Don't worry Ma'am....
I'm only here for the Bass.
I've seen it twice from the south rim. It is sublime and worth seeing.

My wife has been there 4 times on the south rim and once on the north rim. She's hiked to the bottom twice, staying overnight at Phantom Ranch. She really likes it. If you planned on doing the trip to the bottom and staying, you have to have reservations and they have to be made many months before you go. She didn't care for the north rim.
I was raised in Frederick there so I know your being sarcastic there. LOL You gotto love the fertile Oklahoma dirt though.

Been there once. It was definitely something to see. We were on the south rim then went to Page, AZ for a smooth water trip, then onto Bryce and Zion canyon's.... while your in the area pick me up some Yamamoto's, the shipping on those green grubs are horrible.

Totally worth the trip!
Stuff like this...
I'd look at doing the donkey ride. The trails are skinny and rocky, and it'll thrill you for sure!
