How much is a new starter?

I am pretty sure that I will be buying a used one but does anyone know how much a new one runs?

you might be better off having your old one rebuilt if it is not totally trashed

Thanks John, I think that I will go the route of rebuil or a used one offa blown ficht. I am already $800 into fixing it and no luck.
