If you are seeing very very small bubbles this is normal.

More bubbles than oil does not sound good. I'll bet there is an air leak at or in the oil filter on the motor, or the oil hose connection at the front of the motor is not secured with the propper clamp.

Have someone squeeze the oil primer bulb very hard and watch if the bubbles travel up into the motor and solid oil fills the hoses. Make sure the motor is turned the the right and tilted all the way up first as the '05 V6's have a different oil filter that has to be in the correct postion to get ALL the air out.

Has the NO OIL light come on at all and stored a code #38 in the computer?

Re: bubbles in oil line (SEAHORSE)

squeezed bulb, it was very firm, squeezed hard and bubbles did travel into engine. solid oil in lines now. Weather bad, haven't run since , but after 3days sitting, still no bubbles. Figure I need to get to the lake and run it some....
No Oil light did come on once recently, don't know if code stored...

Check oil line clamps, primer ball clamps, etc. also. No ty-raps or hose clamps, only the factory type Odeker clamps.

Hmmm. Not good. Did they vac test the oil lines from the oil injector to the tip of the pickup? Good OLD book test.

Just for curiosity what oil are you running? I was just wondering and it's not really related.

A metal band with a crimped section. Look at the clamps holding your fuel filter, that's the kind you want on all the black oil lines leading up to the oil filter and to the injector assembly.

Bubbles are in the translucent blue lines (1/8"), Left front of the fuel filter. Looks like 6 lines, one to each cyl..
Do these need odeker's also, or just the black lines?

Re: bubbles in oil line (kevmc)

If the wrong clamps are used on the black oil inlet lines, air can get it which will show up in the small blue output lines to each cylinder.

Re: bubbles in oil line (kevmc)

Are these very small bubbles that are smaller than the inner diameter of the blue oil hoses? If so, no worries. Now if these bubbles are a gap in the hose like 1/8" or longer, then you have an air leak somewhere and your dealer tech should find it, or you should find another dealer.

Re: bubbles in oil line (SEAHORSE)

    1/8" gap would be better!!!!
I've got 2-3" air in the lines!!
Not all the lines have bubbles, top 2 do not.
Bulb is always very firm, but if I squeeze firmer, I can move the bubbles into the engine.

Air bubbles are not uncommon in the oil lines, I see them all the time on the V-6 models with no problems.

Re: bubbles in oil line (RUSTY63)

    That's good to hear...

dealer says that if computer sences lack of oil, it'll shut enginge down.
Are the sensors at the oil injectors where it would detect bubbles in the lines, or closer to the pump?
When the bubbles get to the injectors, do they pass thru quickly until oil reaches the injector?
