Start negotiations at 20% below sticker. The last one I bought, I built online and a dealer called me to come in and look at the ones they had that met my specs, $10,000 below sticker because it was considered an online sale.
http://www.truecar.com will help give you an idea.
And Ford should be having some good rebates/incentives to get rid of remaining 2011 stock if there is any.
You're looking at the wrong combo to get the best prices....up here the 5.0 trucks were way better deals than the Ecoboosts because they had more supply. To get an Ecoboost equipped the way I wanted it had to be a dealer swap from Mass.
There is a dealer in Ohio that advertises 25% below MSRP and another that says they are selling at D plan (think it's in Texas) for the rest of the month. Maybe could work out a delivery if you are too far away. IM me if you want further details.

These two are off of an F-150 forum I frequent. Both have a few customers that talk about their customer service. Seem to be decent guys to deal with!

I bought a 2012 xlt 4x4 4 door f-150 with ecoboost, on friday and it listed for around 41,000.00 and I gave 36,000.00 for it and I love it, that was a straight out buy no trade. That was the first offer they gave me, and after driving it I did not argue with them about the price I bought it!

Ask em to see their invoice on the truck and start from there! It's what we do every time and it works!
maybe I'm old school, but dont you start around (invoice minus holdback) minus incentives etc
see edmunds.com and other sites for invoice price and incentives
friend of mine was looking to trade his 2009 F150 on a new one....dealers would not budge a single $ on price.
thanks everyone... great info...

Once the bloom is off the rose, ecoboosts, will just be another F-150 on the lot. Lots of invoice minus incentives deals will be available...wait a few months. just remember you will, as always, have to be realistic on the value of your trade.
If you want an invoice deal, you may have to be prepared to accept wholesale value on your trade-in...or try to sell it yourself.

I was just at the Ford dealer and they have a 2011 with the 3.55 rear end, 5.0 liter engine, tons of options, lists over 40K on sale for 29,150. It has a 5 year 100,000 warranty as well, red with gray interior. I almost traded my Tundra in on it. Sellers-Sexton Ford in St. Robert, MO (573) 336-2000. If you buy it tell em I sent you and I'll get a finders fee lol.
I built a 2012 F-150 XLT two wheel drive at Edmonds for you. It looks like there are $3,000 in cash incentives available through March 5th. You should be able to buy or order this well equipped brand new truck for around $30,000 if you shop around.
