+1 on the BPS crankin stick (somewhat heavy but its still a good one)

This is a great rod for deep cranks IMO. I have the 7'10" model. Paired it with a 5.4:1 pro qualifier. Used mine now for over a year without a problem.

If ya want stiff and sturdy the Abu Garcia Verits is stiffer than any H or MH than others marked the same.

I like the 7'6" Medium Action for my deep diving crankbaits.

bps medium hvy 7'6" is what I use for the 6xd's, dd22's, and spro deep divers. It will throw smaller cranks as well just fine, but doesn't wear me out on the bigger cranks. Have the medium 7'6" older style rod, and it does wear me out on the bigger cranks. Throws them just fine, but get too much pulling feedback at the handle for me.

Powell has a good dd crank rod. I have a Toro winch tied onto it.

Hard to beat a Powell. A buddy of mine (nhsmallmouth) has three Powell 806 crank rods in the rod classifieds right now for around 100 bucks each. Those rods were made to throw the 6XD and the lucky craft D20. I throw them on a 765cb also. Hope this helps...

I've had a few of these over the years and they were good rods for the money!
