Check out this deal on some Revos (Bass Tackle Depot)

Bass Tackle Depot has 20% off most everything, plus a 30$$ rebate on some Revos. I have always been a Shimano guy, but i will have to try it a Revo out now.

I have all Shimano reels also, wish I knew more about the Revos, that looks like a heck of a deal.

I have 5 Revo SX & 2 STX. They have performed flawlessly.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll check it out.

Do you have a preference between the SX-STX?
I was looking at both with 7.1 for slop frog fish fishing, trying to decide on one of the 2.

Where does it say there is a $30 rebate? I was looking at the winch. Is there a rebate on it?

They don't carry the good reels anyway

    Re: (BigBassCtchr101)

    IMO...
The shimano's and Revo have a simular feel. I run Citica's and Revo's and like them both equal. Some of you "PRO's" might pick them apart but to me they are both great reels!!

I plan on picking one up this wknd from them.... Pending a deal with a BBCer...

Wags, both are great reels. For the slop/frog fishing I think the STX would suit you better as it has a beefed up drag. Actually, that drag system is one of the best I've used on a baitcasting reel.

I like them both, and haven't seen a performance difference. I just ordered another SX in 6.4, all mine except 1 are HS so I went with the 6.4 this time.

BTW - I need a new spinning reel any recommendations, was looking at the Orra SX but I haven't put my hands on one yet.

Spinning reels - I like Shimano Sahara for the price... The Stratics are real nice but them can get pricey!

I stand corrected...I just checked and the bigger drag system is only on the 6.4 models. The 7.1 STX and SX have the same 18lb drag.
